soder paste

a combination of microscopic metal alloy particles (like tin, bismuth, or silver) suspended in a gel-like chemical flux

  • soder paste is used to “glue” components onto PCBs
  • when you heat up soder paste, the liquid flux evaporates & the metal balls fuse to each other & other metal that is making contact
