Contact
3+ players
One player is the Defender. They think of a secret word and reveal only the first letter. Everyone else is an Attacker. Their goal is to guess the Defender's word.
How a round works
- An Attacker thinks of any word that fits the revealed letters and gives a clue for it (without saying the word). For example, if the letter is "C" and they're thinking of "cat," they might say "a common pet."
- If another Attacker thinks they know what word the clue is for, they make eye contact and say "Contact!" Then they count down from 3 and both say their word simultaneously.
- But the Defender can intercept at any time before the countdown finishes by guessing the clue word. If the Defender is right, the clue is dead — Attackers have to try again with a new clue.
- If the two Attackers say the same word, they win the round — the Defender must reveal the next letter of their secret word. All future clues must now match all revealed letters.
- If the two Attackers say different words, nothing happens — try again.
Game over
The game ends when an Attacker correctly guesses the Defender's secret word.
